Rev. Bahago grew up in Nigeria’s Taraba State. He taught for several years in primary school before answering a call to ministry. He left teaching and became a student himself, attending the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN). There he realized the importance of sharing the gospel within and outside of Nigeria’s borders.
After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Rev. Bahago taught at Veenstra Theological Seminary for 10 years and finished his master’s in theology. He was then elected and served as the president of the Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria (CRC-N). During his presidency, Rev. Bahago began to feel called to become a missionary. In the fall of 2012 the CRC-N commissioned him to serve as a Church Development Coordinator with the CRC in Sierra Leone. Rev. Bahago and his wife, Jemimah, relocated to Sierra Leone in January 2013 with two of their children.
